Orchid Trips

The Orchid Conservation Alliance periodically organizes trips to locations where orchids can be viewed in their natural habitat.  In 2005, we conducted a two week trip to Brazil and visited orchid habitat in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.  Photos from that trip can be seen below.

In 2007, we again organized a orchid trip to Brazil, visiting some of the same locations as in 2005.  We visited Atlantic Rainforest reserves at Macae da Cima and Regua.  In Minas Gerais, we visited Ibitipoca state park, and we ended with a visit to the picturesque colonial town of Tiradentes.  We saw many orchids in bloom, viewed spectacular scenery, ate fantastic food, and had a terrific time!  Information on future trips will be posted here.  If you are interested in learning more about our trips, please contact us by e-mail or phone (760-753-3173).
